The 'Fatal Five' are the top preventable causes of illness and death in people with IDD: aspiration, dehydration, constipation, seizures, and sepsis. This course teaches DSPs how to recognize early warning signs, respond appropriately, document health observations, and understand their role in medication support tasks.
