A ACUITYCARE

Trauma-Informed Care Fundamentals

People with intellectual and developmental disabilities are at significantly elevated risk of trauma victimization — yet Arkansas CES training does not cover trauma-informed care. Peer-reviewed research validates that digital TIC training measurably improves DSP alignment with trauma-informed practices. Through video case studies and a reflective self-assessment, this course teaches the 5 principles of TIC and how to recognize when 'behavior problems' are actually trauma responses.
